I started this project about a year ago, but put it down because I wasn't quite ready to take on one of Teresa Wentzler's designs. I picked it back up about two weeks ago and have actually gotten part of the border done! *laugh* Her designs are rather complex though, so I have a good excuse! But it is the most gorgeous border that I've ever had the pleasure to work on. Here is a small picture of what I'm working on. The larger one takes longer to load, so I'm not including it. |
The cross stitch design at this site is owned and copyrighted by: Leisure Arts, Inc. P.O. Box 55595, Little Rock, AR 72215. |
The actual project doesn't have the red tint to it. I think it's because there was a candle by the original picture. But the most gorgeous part of the border you can't see at all in any picture. It is thin strands of metallic gold thread. I love holding what I've finished up to the light and watching the light shine off of them. Really elegant looking. :) I can't wait to actually start on the picture! *laughing* |

Okay, here's another little project that I picked up a little over a month or so ago. This is Teresa Wentzler's Dancer. (See a theme going on here?) This is a beautiful rocking horse with a white saddle decorated by leaves and flowers, a yellow saddle blanket with the same floral pattern around the edge in a white border. There are a total of 17 tassels on this project. Most are decorating the saddle blanket, but there are two on the rocking portion and one at each 'end' of the horse. |
I don't know who holds the copyright to the picture, so I figured this would have to do. If you would like to see a picture, please just click on the picture above. |
The rocking portion also has the matching leaf and floral pattern on it. I personally can't wait to see this one finished! Even though it is one of her more simple designs, it lives up to her excellent standards. I am hoping to eventually get all of her rocking horses stitched and finished. :) Don't know what I'm going to do with them yet as some people have done wall quilts with them. I might just frame each seperately and hang them together. We shall just have to wait and see. |

This is a nice Noah's Ark type picture. I saw it in the store and just fell in love with it. I'm hoping to finish it sometime in the future. :) I purchased it in the hopes that it would eventually end up in Gibson's room. |

I've really enjoyed working on this chart so far. Just one major complaint. :) The chart uses the same 6 or 7 symbols over and over and just changes their color. I guess they think this makes it easier to read. |

Okay, I decided to work on this one for a Christmas present. But it appears that I'm getting really good at switching projects without finishing them. Hopefully, one will get finished eventually. Again, no picture and I'm going to leave it that way. :) Don't want anyone to know what it looks like! :) |
